The BCHS Mock Trial Team finished in 6th Place at the Kentucky State Mock Trial Tournament. Matthew Coyle and Hurley Short were named All-State Witnesses. We are so proud of our Mock Cats!

The Bath County High School Pre-Law Pathway won third place at the Northern Regional Kentucky Mock Trial Tournaments, securing a bid to compete at the state competition. Jonah Gibson has shattered his own school record in long jump with an incredible leap of 19 feet 11 inches this weekend at Centre College, setting a new benchmark for the school. Not only did he break the record, but he also claimed 1st place overall, out jumping some of the best long jumpers in central Kentucky. And if that wasn’t enough, Jonah is now ranked 2nd in long jump, 5th in high jump, 3rd in the 200 meter dash, and 10th in the 55 meter dash for the entire state of Kentucky in KHSAA Class 2A! With a second state championship in long jump on the horizon, Jonah is staring down an opportunity to make history once again.
Another school record shattered! Ed Tapp has crushed his own indoor shot-put record with an impressive throw of 40 feet, 6 inches! The records just keep rolling in! Ed is now ranked 7th in KHSAA Class 2A and earned a stellar 4th place finish at Mason County this past weekend. His dedication in the weight room is clearly paying off, showing that hard work truly makes a difference. The sky’s the limit for this rising star!
And let’s not forget Zach Grigsby, who has now set a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a blazing time of 9.12 seconds! Zach’s explosive speed and perfect technique over the hurdles have earned him a spot in the record books, and his performance continues to inspire his teammates and competitors alike. His focus and determination are unmatched, and it’s exciting to see him continue to break barriers. Zach is currently ranked #1 in the State in high jump and #4 in the 55 meter hurdles.

Preston Roussos broke the school record for number of assists in a game. He had 6 assists against Morgan County. The previous record was 5 held by Phillip Sorrell for 24 years.
The 6 assists in that game also puts him in the state record books. He sits at number 4 for the state record #WildcatPride

Braydon Roberts received an invitation to be apart of the KY 4-H National Championship Archery Compound Team. He is one of the four kids from across the state of Kentucky that were chose to represent our state in June of 2025 in Nebraska at the 4-H National Championship in compound archery. #WildcatPride
